Design Your Own Laptop Bag or iPad Case

There’s nothing else like it and that’s why we love Shinnorie!  And that’s probably why you will love it to, since their exclusive Shinnorie GEN Label allows you to design your own technology case.   Starting with the choice of the model and the base color of the bag, you then get to add the colors of the complementary colors, stitching, trim, and even components like handles or straps.  Shinnorie custom makes each piece ordered within 8 business days and ships it directly from Asia to the consumer in the U.S., Canada or elsewhere.  November 2010 marks the official promotional launch within the U.S., after several years of popularity within Asia, especially with Mac fans.

Shinnorie’s GEN Label design process allows you to design a laptop bag or iPad case in real time, changing all of the elements and seeing those changes as you go.  Not only is the process fun, but those who buy a Shinnorie love the fact that they are able to create something custom for themselves and that it won’t likely be seen on anyone else.  For someone who wants to make their own statement or to match a look that may not normally be found “off-the-shelf”, this is the way to go.

The process is simple, and the cost is not that different than purchasing other high quality designer items.  A little extra time is needed because each piece is custom made-to-order and shipped directly from Asia, so plan ahead (although expedited shipping is available for the person who just “must have it” now).  Visit kolobags.shinnorie.com and choose from a collection of laptop bags, iPad cases, iPod cases, and cases for mobile phones in the Shinnorie GEN Label section.  Since there are thousands of combinations, you can play for hours until you get the combination that you like.

Shinnorie GEN Label is promoted exclusively in the U.S. at kolobags.shinnorie.com.

Cool Camera Bags for Photographers

With so many folks now with their own blogs and YouTube sites, there are also a ton of folks carrying their digital cameras to have on hand for the next big story. We are not talking about camera phones (although those can be useful). We are talking about the next step up, a high-resolution digital camera, whether that be point-and-shoot, video, or SLR.

The super pros have heavy duty equipment bags for their cameras. But for those who want a solid layer of protection possibly with some organizational features, there are some cool camera cases ready to go with you, for the next story or on your next vacation.

For the minimalist who just wants protection for a point-and-shoot camera, try a bright colored neoprene case from a designer like Tucano. Dual zippers open to a compartment for the camera and an inner pocket holds memory cards. An outside loop becomes a hook to another bag so that the case will not be lost. A choice that is even more fashion oriented is the Pan Am mini stow all. While it’s not exclusively a camera case, the bag is perfect for a point-and-shoot camera and will look kitchy with any outfit. The removable wrist strap is ideal for carrying the case like a wristlet.

For the photographer that is carrying more gear and even wants a portable studio, Ogio camera bags and Sumdex camera cases aren’t your ordinary camera cases. The sumdex xposure II digital camera sling pack is a stylish sling that can be worn over either shoulder. The bag can rest standing up or on its back, and won’t be as much of a target for theft, since it isn’t typical for a camera bag. Dual compartments open easy in either position, and open to an assortment of adjustable dividers. The videographer/blogger will love the Ogio ty video backpack. A street smart looking backpack opens to a compartment full of Velcro partitions to hold a video camera and other goods. A separate pocket is padded for up to a 16” laptop, so you can bring your editing studio with you on the road. Added MacGyvor-like perks include a mini keychain flashlight and a foam knee pad.

Spring Mommies Need Stylish Diaper Bags

April 2nd, 2010 by

Soapbox Moppet diaper bagIt used to be that a diaper bag was just as utilitarian as laptop bags used to be. We’re not sure if it’s the influence of brands on all of us or if it’s the large number of women now in the work force, but now the choices are just as diverse as handbags.

It really doesn’t matter what your style is, you can find a diaper bag that fits it. There are totes, messenger bags, and backpacks. Soapbox Bags and Kailo Chic couple these diaper bags styles with adorable patterns like orange circles, Hawaiian floral, and green hexagon. What is extra appealing is the fact that these patterns and colors are fun, but not overstated.

One of our favorite selections is the Amy Michelle gladiola baby bag. It’s appeal is that it is deceptively like a handbag, especially with rich textures like jacquard and faux patent leather. We also don’t want to forget dad. At the expense of sounding sexist, we think it’s safe to say most dads are more likely to favor some of the styles of Kinart, who has diaper backpacks and bags in more unisex colors like red and black.
